Cleaning crystals is an important step in maintaining their energy and effectiveness in crystal healing practices. Here are some common methods for cleaning crystals:
Running Water: Hold the crystal under cool running water for a few minutes, visualizing any negative energy being washed away. Note: Do NOT do this with selenite.
Selenite: Place the crystal on a selenite disc to charge it and cleanse it.
Salt Water Bath: Fill a bowl with cold water and add a tablespoon of sea salt. Place the crystals in the bowl and let them soak for a few hours. Rinse them off under running water and dry them with a soft cloth.
Smudging: Use sage, palo santo, or other herbs to cleanse the crystals by burning them and passing the crystals through the smoke.
Moonlight or Sunlight: Place the crystals in a sunny spot for a few hours or overnight under the light of a full moon. Visualize any negative energy being released and the crystals being charged with positive energy.
